MEDICAL WORLD AMERICAS Collocates with Texas Area Healthcare Execs, Vendome Group

August 25, 2014

MEDICAL WORLD AMERICAS (MWA) will pair up with two collocation partners for the upcoming 2015 conference and expo April 27-29 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

The American College of Healthcare Executives Southeast Texas Chapter (ACHE-SETC) will hold its annual educational meeting at MWA and will integrate into the overall conference programming by offering valuable CEU’s to attendees.

Vendome Group’s Healthcare Design Academy also will collaborate with MWA and offering business intersections between attendees through this collocation.

“We are thrilled that both ACHE-SETC and the Healthcare Design Academies have made the decision to join MEDICAL WORLD AMERICAS in 2015.” said Robert C. Robbins, M.D., president and CEO, Texas Medical Center and MEDICAL WORLD AMERICAS Executive Advisory Committee Chair.

He added, “It’s a further testament to the vision we have to grow MWA into a premier healthcare educational forum and product innovation showcase.”

ACHE is a national organization that is the premier professional society for healthcare executives dedicated to improving healthcare delivery.

It has a national membership of more than 40,000 healthcare professionals (CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CIO, CNOs, MDs, department directors, student associates, etc.).

The Southeast Texas Chapter (ACHE-SETC) is one of the largest regional chapters with an average annual membership of 1,300 covering 29 counties in the southeast Texas region.

According to the officers of the ACHE-SETC and Foundation Board of Directors, "a partnership with MWA will provide an educational opportunity that will substantively enhance the image, presence, and value for our membership in our region.

They added, “In addition, our Chapter takes great pride in our responsibility to provide educational sessions, in more venues, with the broadest possible topical themes as appropriate - designed to reach the greatest number of people to support and improve their work toward enhancing their professional growth. It is our desire to move forward in partnership with MWA and to collaborate with and augment the educational imperative of ACHE national."

From Vendome Group, the Healthcare Design Academies provide educational sessions and resource connections - bringing together the people, organizations, and facilities that are setting new standards in healthcare design.

Uniting the industry’s foremost solutions providers with select healthcare architects and facility executives, these events boast the participation of around 150 respected thought leaders and key decision-makers throughout the U.S.

“With an increased focus on patient-centered care, healthcare designers and clinicians are forging stronger relationships than ever.  By bringing together Healthcare Design and Medical World Americas, we are helping to bridge what has historically been a large gap between design and clinical,” said Mark Fried, president of Vendome Group.

He added, “Medical World Americas provides the perfect opportunity for the designers, architects and facility executives to network with clinicians and continue to forge the relationships that are critical to the success of patient-centered care.”

The addition of these new partners is the first in a series of planned strategic moves designed to accelerate the development of MWA and provide significant ROI for exhibitors and attendees alike.

MEDICAL WORLD AMERICAS launched last year and is a unique collaboration between the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GHCVB), Germany-based Messe Duesseldorf, the Texas Medical Center and Houston First Corp.
